Virtual office assistants are growing in popularity

With the recent increase in both serviced and virtual office demand, more and more businesses are seeing the benefits of the virtual aspect. Not entirely a new concept, virtual office assistants are becoming more popular within businesses due to their perceived benefits. A number of employees have these personal virtual assistants, but there is still some debate as to whether it will work for everyone.

Virtual assistants are like ordinary assistants, except most do not even meet their employer as they are independent contractors who undertake their secretary work from home. This means they are paid only for hours they actually work as opposed to a fixed salary. This has been said to be one of the main appealing benefits, as it cuts company costs because there is no need for equipment or office space.

Although it has been said that virtual office assistants are highly recommended, there is still some discussion among businesses whether virtual assistants can always be trusted. Employing someone without meeting them is questionable to most employers, as there is the worry that they may not be able to be trusted.

On the other hand, the virtual office is becoming the way forward and many employers seem to have had no problem in hiring their virtual assistant. In recent years, there has been a surge in mobile working and technology is already a must have in the work place. According to the International Virtual Assistants Association, virtual assistants are becoming more common.
